What is the return policy?
We want you to love your Gaia Disc! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resellable condition to qualify for a return. Please see full return policy.
Are any purchases final sale?
Yes. For hygiene reasons our menstrual discs are non-returnable once opened.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. Delivery times vary depending on your location/area:
Local (within South Africa): 2-5 business days
International: 7–21 business days
Can I track my order?
Yes! Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.

Free Shipping: Orders over R800 qualify for free shipping within South Africa. For international orders, additional shipping costs may apply.
What if my order is lost or damaged in transit?
Please contact us immediately. We will work with the courier to locate or replace your items as quickly as possible.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! Shipping times and costs may vary depending on your country. Any customs or import duties are the responsibility of the customer.
Can I change my order after it’s placed?
We aim to process orders quickly, so changes can’t always be made once the order is submitted. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make adjustments.
Are your products covered under warranty?
Yes! Our products are made with care and quality materials. If your disc/product is defective or damaged on arrival, contact us within 30 days for a replacement.
How do I cancel an order?
Orders can only be cancelled before they are dispatched. If your order has already been shipped, please follow our return policy once you receive it.
Do you offer gift wrapping or special notes?
Yes! During checkout, you can select gift wrapping and add a personal note for a small additional fee. Perfect for gifting someone special.
Do you only sell menstrual discs?
No! While the Gaia Menstrual Disc is our star product, we also offer a range of eco-friendly products designed to support women’s health and wellbeing.
Is the disc the same as a menstrual cup?
No! While both are reusable menstrual products, a cup sits in the vaginal canal, which can sometimes cause discomfort or leaking, and it requires folding and creating a suction seal. The disc sits slightly higher, behind the pubic bone and in front of the cervix, giving you more comfort, freedom, and leak-free protection, no folding or suction seal needed.
How do I know what size to choose?

How long can I wear the disc?
You can wear it for 8–12 hours, depending on your flow. It’s perfect for day, night, and everything in between.

How do I clean and care for my disc?

Rinse your disc with cold water each time you remove it if you plan to reinsert it. At the end & beginning of your cycle, sterilise it using your Jars of Love sterilising jar and store it safely for next month. Never use soaps or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the disc.
How do I sterilise my disc?
Before & after each cycle, sterilise your Gaia Disc using the Jars of Love sterilising jar.
- Place disc in the Jars of Love sterilising jar, rim up and tilted sideways.
- Fill with boiling water until fully covered.
- Microwave uncovered for 3 minutes only. (Do not put the lid of the jar in the microwave)
- Let cool completely before touching.
- Store dry, in your cotton bag and jar, between cycles.
Can I use the disc while swimming or during exercise?
Yes! The disc stays securely in place while you move, jump, stretch, swim, or dance. No leaks, no worries.
Why is my disc leaking?
Leaks usually happen when the disc isn’t sitting correctly or is full. Make sure it’s tucked behind the pubic bone and covering your cervix. If it’s full, empty it and reinsert. A little adjustment often solves the problem, giving you comfortable, leak-free protection.
Is it safe to use during period sex?
Absolutely! The disc is designed to sit comfortably and discreetly, making period sex worry-free. Just ensure that the disc isn't too full when you want to have sex.
How much fluid does the disc hold?
The Small Gaia Disc: 48ml (3-4 tampons worth of fluid)
The Large Gaia Disc: 64ml (5-6 tampons worth of fluid)
